  • For the Shrimp:
  • 1/2 pound 225 grams large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • For Assembling the Tacos:
  • 4 small soft taco tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish
  • Lime wedges for garnish and squeezing
  • Hot sauce or condiments of your choice
  • For the Salsa:
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Making the prawns ready
  • Shrimp should be peeled and deveined; if you choose, you can leave the tails on for aesthetic purposes.
  • Chilli powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper are all used to season the prawns.
  • While you prepare the other components for the tacos, let the seasoned prawns marinade for around 10-15 minutes.
  • Taco preparation materials:
  • Lettuce can be cut or torn.
  • Slice up onions and tomatoes.
  • Grate some cheese—usually Monterey Jack or cheddar.
  • Combine diced tomatoes, diced onions, chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper to make a straightforward salsa.
  • Prepare the prawns:
  • With a little oil added, heat a skillet or other pan over medium-high heat.
  • When the skillet is heated, add the marinated prawns and fry them for two to three minutes on each side, or until they are opaque and pink. Don’t overcook prawns since they can get rough.
  • Build the tacos:
  • Soft taco tortillas can be warmed briefly in the microwave or a dry skillet.
  • Each tortilla should first have a coating of lettuce on it, then the grilled prawns.
  • Add grated cheese, diced tomatoes, and onions.
  • Add the prepared salsa on top.
  • Serve:
  • Add a squeeze of lime juice and some chopped cilantro as a garnish, if desired, for more flavour.
  • Serve your fiery prawn tacos right away with a side of your preferred hot sauce or condiments.
